Las Cruces, NM, 4-27-18. Red Hawk Golf Club is pleased to announce its ranking as the 2nd Best Course You Can Play in New Mexico by Golfweek’s publication, Golfweek’s Best 2018: Courses You Can Play.

The members of Golfweek’s course-rating panel continually evaluate courses and rate them based on their 10 criteria: (1) how well the holes individually and collectively adhere to land and to each other, (2) the extent to which course construction creates design elements that fit in well and provide a consistent look or sensibility, (3) overall land plan, (4) greens and surroundings, (5) variety and memorability of par 3s, (6) variety and memorability of par 4s, (7) variety and memorability of par 5s, (8) tree and landscape management, (9) conditioning and ecology, and (10) the sense of the place as worthy of spending four hours on it. “Those overall ratings on each course are averaged together to produce a final rating for each course.
