The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, the White Sands Balloon Invitational Committee and the city of Alamogordo has joined forces to present the 28th Balloon Invitational this year, with a twist — live music!
The inaugural White Sands Balloon and Music Festival will for the first time in its history welcome live musical entertainment. The day will feature more than 30 hot air balloons from all over the worlds, to include some of the most skilled pilots in the country, along with more than nine hours of live music, vendors, food, refreshments and beer, a 5K run/walk and much more.
Balloons will launch from Ed Brabson Balloon Park from 7 to 7:30 a.m. Food vendors will be on site. Balloons are expected to stay up for approximately 3 hours. The music festival begins at 2 p.m., and at approximately 7 p.m., balloons will fire their burners and light up at the same time to illuminate the night sky.
Admission to the park is $20 per carload or $10 per person at the gate.
