Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St., and all City of Las Cruces museums will be open until 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings from June through August. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, come to the Branigan Cultural Center for a Tai Chi class in the museum’s courtyard with the New Mexico State University Confucius Institute. The class is suitable for beginners and veterans of Tai Chi.
Instructor Chao Liu, from Tianjin, China, will lead the free Tai Chi class. Tai Chi is a form of martial arts originating from ancient China. Tai Chi unites the mind and body through fun and easy body movements. Studies have shown Tai Chi improves flexibility, fitness, immunity, muscular strength, and much more. Come explore this ancient tradition and experience the benefits it could provide.
Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
