The New Mexico State University Art Gallery (D.W. Williams Hall, 1390 E. Main St.) will host a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s classic horror film “The Shining” at 7 p.m. In Kubrick’s adaptation of the story by Stephen King, a family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.
