Melon Tap

Who could resist a slushy drink served right out the melon it came from? Visit goodcook.com for tasty recipes, like the Spicy Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita, and more inspired tips like this one: When making melon drinks, use a melon baller to extract the fruit and freeze the balls overnight. Then, just pop them in a blender for a perfectly slushy thirst-quencher.

Nutri Ninja Watermelon Cooler

Watermelon CoolerIf your kitchen isn’t stocked with a Nutri Ninja, you’re probably not making the smoothest and most nutritious smoothies possible. Plus, the single serving blending cups reduce wasted leftovers and make clean up a breeze. We printed the recipe for the Watermelon Raspberry Cleanser in the latest issue of Neighbors, and here’s another summer favorite.Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ

Ingredients
1/4 pear, seeded, 1-inch chunks
2 large fresh basil leaves, stems removed
2 cups chilled watermelon, seeded, 1-inch chunks
2 cups chilled watermelon, seeded, 1-inch chunks

Place all of the ingredients into the Regular 24-ounce Nutri Ninja® Cup in the order listed, starting with pear. Select “Auto-iQ™ BLEND”. Remove the blades from the cup after blending.
Tip: Add 1/8 teaspoon holy basil powder, also called tulsi, for a super food boost.

Visit ninjakitchen.com for more recipes or to find out how to customize this one to your taste if you like it thicker, thinner, or sweeter.
