This historical property in Sunland Park has been in the Ardovino family since the 1940s. Over the years it’s been a bar, a lounge, a private men’s club, and a gambling hall. It’s now an elegant restaurant and banquet center with excellent food and drinks, phenomenal views, and an overall romantic ambiance packed with historical charm.

Food: Ardovino’s prepares all their dishes with quality, fresh ingredients. They are well known for their Italian fare, but special event menus can be customized for all tastes. Dinners can be served plated or buffet style and sample menus include items like Beef Wellington, Chipotle Shrimp, and Chicken alla Parmigiana.

Double Eagle

The beautiful Double Eagle in Mesilla offers a one-of-a-kind, luxury wedding experience. From butler service hors d’oeuvres to a champagne toast, the professionally trained staff can create the wedding of your dreams in one of the intimate dining rooms, in the ballroom, or in the enclosed courtyard filled with greenery. Food: The award-winning food at Double Eagle is just as elegant as the setting. Wedding menu packages include a social hour with crudités and crackers, a salad station, and entrée choices like Chicken Breast with Champagne Cream Sauce and Seafood Newburg with Wild Rice. Frontier Club

Mix it up a bit for your wedding and highlight a different view of the Organ Mountains. The Frontier Club at White Sands Missile Range is just a short drive from Las Cruces and offers a unique take on the best view in the area. With five rentable rooms and two great patio spaces, this venue can accommodate big bashes and small family affairs.

Josefina’s Old Gate

This beautiful gem in the heart of Old Mesilla oozes with romantic and historical charm. The property includes a grassy area where chairs can be set up for the wedding ceremony as well as a gorgeous outdoor patio that is enchanting when lit up for evening galas. King and queen suites and a romantic casita are available for rent for before or after the festivities.

Food: Recent wedding menus have included everything from local classics like red and green enchiladas to hearty fare like brisket, chicken, and ribs. The culinary team is open to working with any requests and the site also serves champagne, beer, and wine.

La Posta

Have your wedding reception at one of Las Cruces’s favorite restaurants. With several party rooms to choose from, this colorful property is rich in local history. From the serene Pecan Tree Courtyard to the Fiesta Room which seats up to 100, there’s an option for every wedding size and style.

Food: For events, the classic New Mexican fare La Posta is known for can be dished up buffet style or they can create a personalized menu for guests to order off of with all the restaurant’s most popular dishes including Enchiladas, Tacos, and Combination Plates. Las Cruces Convention Center

With an on-staff event manager, the Las Cruces Convention Center offers a full-service wedding package. A cocktail reception, fine linens, professional service staff—they have it all covered. They have the ability to accommodate crowds of up to 700, and will even display the bride and groom’s names on the marquee.

Food: Executive Chef Tom Agius and his culinary team will create a full menu that includes the choice of two appetizers—think Mini Cordon Bleu Bites and Tomato Basil Bruschetta—a salad, and entrées like Margarita Chicken and Petit Sirloin with Mushroom Demi-Glace.

New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum

With two ballrooms and an amazing courtyard with stunning views of the Organ Mountains, this museum is the perfect setting for a New Mexico wedding. All event services are contracted through Dickerson’s Catering and, in addition to tasty menu options, they also offer complete wedding services assisting in everything from invites to flowers.

Food: Menu options range from light lunches and hors d’oeuvres to plated dinners and themed buffets. The New Mexican package offers a varied selection of beef, chicken, and seafood entrée options, served with salad, two sides, and a dessert buffet. Many selections include local ingredients like pecans and green chile.

New Mexico State University

NMSU boasts several wedding site options. The NMSU Golf Course offers the ideal backdrop of the Organ Mountains with options to host the reception on the patio or in the banquet room. The 3rd Floor Bistro at the Fulton Athletics Center overlooks the Aggie Memorial Stadium football field, making it a fun option for sports fans. Large receptions with up to 900 guests can fit in the Corbett Center ballroom, while the brand new Spiritual Center with it’s beautiful patio is ideal for more intimate weddings.

Food: NMSU works with a wide variety of caterers including Flavours by Sodexo which offers a dizzying array of wedding menus that include stationary and butlered hors d’oeuvres, carving tables, ice cream sundae bars, slider stations, and a whole list of other interactive and fun reception ideas. And don’t worry about on-campus alcohol rules; event planners can walk you through getting those approvals where necessary.
