There’s plenty of holiday fun going on all around Las Cruces this season. Kick off your shopping before Black Friday, get festive and stroll through our town’s famous luminaria displays, and count down to the New Year surrounded by our great neighbors.

HOMEGROWN: A NEW
MEXICO FOOD SHOW & GIFT MARKET

NM Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum

FestiveThis NMDA event gets bigger and better every year. Find salsas, baked goods, jerky, oils and spices, cheese, wine, leather goods, wind chimes, clothing, jewelry, and more—all made right here in New Mexico. Niq Howie attended last year’s event and said, “From hand-spun wool to my discovery of jalapeno jelly, it was quite the evening. I will definitely be back with the whole family next year.”

HOLLY DAY HOUSE

November 19 – 20, 10am to 4pm
Picacho Hills Commercial Plaza
FestiveArtists of Picacho Hills is holding their 7th annual Holly Day House, featuring the work of 20 different artists. Artwork on display and for sale will include jewelry, paintings, sculptures, photographs, carved gourds, and fiber art. Or buy a treasure chest raffle ticket for a chance to win one of 24 “treasures” donated by local artists. Proceeds will be donated to Mesilla Valley Hospice. CRUCES CHILE DROP

December 31, 9pm to Midnight
Downtown Civic Plaza
FestiveRing in the New Year with an evening of celebration on Downtown Main Street’s newly finished Civic Plaza with food and live music. The highlight of the evening is, of course, the lowering of the 2,300 pound chile lit up with 400 LED light bulbs at midnight.

NOCHE DE LUMINARIAS

December 4, 6pm-9pm
NMSU Corbett Center Student Union
Get in the holiday spirit by strolling through one of the largest luminaria displays in New Mexico. While the ice rink is still up in the air for 2016, expect plenty of festive fun with crafts, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a photo booth. OLD MESILLA FESTIVITIES

6-17-luminaries-FestiveOn December 9 come out to the historic plaza for the annual lighting of the Christmas tree and stick around after for the extended hours shopping.
