LIFE, NOT DEATH,
AT THE ANNUAL
DAY OF THE DEAD
Sweets, brightly colored flowers and decorations, face paint, music and dancing—
these hardly seem like the proper ingredients to celebrate one of life's more somber
occurrences, death. But Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, isn't really about
death. It's about remembering life and honoring the memories
of those that have passed on.
In Mesilla, that's cause for celebration.
